That is awesome! With my chicken-scratch handwriting, I think I could do that as a little side business even now. I believe my first job was as a barista in college. Of course, the shop wasn't fancy enough to know they even had "baristas", so at the time I was a "coffee server".

My first job was as a "hoer." As in I worked the fields planting, picking, and hoeing melons. Great summer job! I worked there all 3 summers of high school and during the school years I worked for a small family dairy farm milking. I loved that job too. I would still be working those two if I had never graduated from high school. :(

ok, so my first job was as a waitress for a ma and pa owned type of place, made amazing pizza.

so it was the day after my last day as a senior in high school and i was driving around and i noticed the help wanted sign and without even thinking i parked and walked in. i asked about the help wanted sign and it turned out i was talking to the owner. so he pulls me over to a table to interview right there. after the 5 minute interview he asks when i can start. happily, i asked, "when do you want me to start?" so he says, "right now. a guy just sat down over at that table. grab him a menu and take his order."
...i wasnt trained, hell i didnt even know the menu or what not at the time, but i didnt know any better and i didnt dare question my new boss. i was nervous but i figured i've been out to eat enough that i've got the gist. so i walk over with a menu, i greeted him and asked, "will another party be joining you?" his response?
"my fiance would be. she would be sitting right there (points to chair across from him), but shes dead."
"...(totally freaking out inside my head) i'm-i'm so sorry.....um, uh...do you know what youd like to drink...?"

yup.

worked eight hour shifts everyday, breaks werent allowed, wouldnt let me eat. quit after two months.

...i miss it.
