So being a proud queer I can admit that I wax. I come from a hairy people and I'm just not into the bear look not for me. But god damn waxing should be used as a form of torture. After it's all said and done and like three days later it is pretty good and totally worth it.

I agree, except for the part about it being worth it.

I absolutely LOVE being waxed. Well worth the overall "clean" feeling after it's done. I loved my Brazilian waxing specialist (I haven't been back in several months due to inconvenience in distance). And, I don't feel it as torture. Hell, I don't even need the numbing cream they offer! I kinda like the pain associated with tweezing/waxing the pubic area!!
Now, the Epilady hair ripper-outer.... THAT was TORTURE!
I really like being waxed too- I tend to get REALLY ticklish getting Brazilians so I generally end up leaving the salon a giggling, hyper-from-fun-owie-and tickliness mess. And the results are fab.
Then again, I really like that kind of pain- I get giddy from epilating too, although epilating the fun bits goes way beyond fun-ow and into "holy shite get that thing AWAY from me and OH MY GOD that's a lot of blood" levels.
I can't do it. I don't think I could sit there and bare my lady-business to a stranger and ask them to rip my hair off.
lol

I like brazilian waxes. It only hurts a lot the first couple times, but if you go consistently every month, it really doesn't hurt much at all.
The main thing is going to someone who is really good at it and can get you out of there in like less than 10 minutes. People who are shitty at it can't get all the hair off and take 30 minutes or more.
Also price is a big factor. You shouldn't ever pay more than $50 or your getting ripped off. $40-50 is what I usually pay...and thats in CA.
My other issue is...that you have to let things get kinda wooly before you can get it ripped off right?
I mean, we are talking a week of growth before there's enough to wax?
I dunno...I have no experience with anything but shaving, and even though its a bitch... waxing seems too scary.

same here.
Im with you guys on this. Its like whoa what the hell are you doing down there. Wait....no just wait. Yeah no thanks. My lady-business would be all shy and scared and she would probably never speak to me again. I am already worried about that anyway.
Seriously. i just dont get it. i mean i get why but i dont get how you can just go and bare your lady-business to strangers. Maybe its me. Maybe my lady-business is shy like me.

is it sad that I always crack up at "lady business"?
I couldn't go through a waxing. None. Ok maybe on certain body parts. But definitely not the Brazilian.
